How Fast, How Late, How Booked

How fast can you get here?

On-site fast, day or night. Belrose is home turf for us, so a plumber is usually already close by when your call comes in, rather than starting the trip from somewhere across Sydney.

What counts as a plumbing emergency?

Water actively going somewhere it shouldn't, or a gas smell in the house. A burst pipe, a tap that won't shut off, sewage backing up inside. A dripping tap or a slow drain that still empties can wait for business hours.

How does the callback form work?

Pop in your name, number and a quick line on what's going on, and someone rings you back fast, day or night. For anything urgent, dialling (02) 9134 9079 straight away still beats waiting on a form.

Do you work weekends and public holidays?

Yes. We're on call every day of the week, including public holidays, and you'll speak to a licensed plumber, not an answering machine, whenever you ring.

The Money Part

Do prices change once the job starts?

No. You sign off on the price before any tools come out. If the scope shifts once a wall is open, we pause and talk you through it before going further.

Is the quote really free?

Yes. Having a licensed plumber assess the job doesn't cost you a thing, and hearing the quote doesn't commit you to anything further.

How can I pay?

Card or tap-and-go both work fine, taken once the repair is finished and you're satisfied. Nothing gets processed until after you've signed off on the price.

How do your quotes work?

A licensed plumber inspects the problem, walks you through it without jargon, and puts one number to you for the whole job. The price we quote is the price you pay. No exceptions.

Answers From Around Belrose

Which suburbs do you service?

Belrose plus the neighbouring Northern Beaches suburbs on our regular run: Frenchs Forest, Davidson, Forestville, St Ives and Allambie Heights. Ring us if your street isn't listed and we'll tell you straight.

What does heavy rain do to Belrose's plumbing?

Belrose sits on a sandstone ridge, and the ground falls away sharply into steep gullies below it, so a heavy downpour arrives at the drains quicker than they're built to cope with. That grade is what sends a surcharge to the lowest point of the yard, or water pooling near Lionel Watts Reserve's playing fields after a big storm.

Do tree roots really block drains around Belrose?

Yes. Streets with mature trees, and blocks backing bushland, put constant root pressure on older clay and earthenware sewer lines until one finally blocks without warning. Clay and earthenware joints are exactly where a searching root gets in.

Do you work on Belrose's apartments and strata blocks?

Yes. Belrose is mostly detached houses from the 1960s onward, but the newer townhouse and unit blocks get the same attention, cramped riser cupboards and all.

Licences, Cover and the Rules

Who is responsible for a blocked sewer, me or the utility?

The pipework on your side of the boundary is your responsibility, and that's what we clear. What runs under the street belongs to someone else entirely. More detail is on our blocked drains page.

What is safe to try myself before you arrive?

Turning the water off at the meter is always safe and often the most useful thing you can do. If you smell gas, leave the property and call from outside. Do not flick switches or light flames.

What does the Lifetime Labour Warranty cover?

The work our plumbers carry out on your home. If it's not right, we come back. No questions. No cost.

Who can legally do gas work in NSW?

Only a licensed gas fitter, full stop. Every plumber we send holds NSW Plumbing Licence #275278C and the gas endorsement needed before touching a fitting or appliance.
